The studio isn’t just where the hits are made, it’s where Blake gets real. “I don’t like too much structure. I’ve written some of my best songs with a dog barking in the background and my boots on the mixing desk,” he jokes.

Blake prefers a cozy, rustic studio vibe with dim lights, worn-in couches, and a fridge that’s always stocked. Not just with water, think beer, root beer, and maybe a leftover slice of pizza.

But don’t be fooled by the chill atmosphere. When it’s time to work, it’s laser focus. “I can go from cracking jokes to recording a full track in one take,” he says. “When the moment hits, you gotta ride that wave.”

What makes it special is the energy. The jokes. The outtakes. The spontaneous harmonies with Gwen that happen when she pops in mid-session. “She’ll walk in with coffee, hear something, and suddenly we’re laying down vocals together.”

Blake’s studio isn’t just a sound booth, it’s a creative playground. And for him, it’s the most authentic space there is.
